For a whole semester, Emily Rosser and I barely spoke a word to one another - yet all along, I knew I wanted to photograph her.
Finally on the last day of class, I asked her if she would be into me doing a small shoot based off the idea of feeling beauty in the world while also feeling a strong sense of loneliness. I sent her a bunch of songs before the shoot to give her an idea of the melancholic, emotional state I was playing with at the time.
It was less than 10 minutes into the shoot that I realized she was not new to this.
We have been friends since and I am a huge fan of her work.
See you in NYC Emro!
